It may seem hard to believe, but Calgary is in the midst of a heat wave.

Although weather in the city hasn’t been hot, Global Calgary Meteorologist Jordan Witzel says it is generally considered a heat wave when temperatures rise 5 C above the seasonal average for three or more consecutive days…

…On Tuesday, Calgary recorded its fifth consecutive day of above seasonal temperatures, reaching a high of 9.2 C.
